Why do people think that they should judge the morality of artists and shun those who don't make the cut by today's 21's C standards. Or by any standards, for that matter? It's something that would have seemed silly in a Victorian matron. So what if he's supposedly a dick? So what if he is racist, or was? Pretty much everyone was openly racist fifty years or sixty years ago. They made movies about people who weren't racist, or who tried not to be--that's how rare it was to not be racist. Besides, who are you to judge the man? As the master said, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" Besides, being a judgmental prig and canceling everybody who doesn't measure up to your standards is a fools errand. Today's self righteous generation wants to cancel pretty much everyone who was born before the mid 1990's.

I was an artist until my thirties when I discovered computers and jumped ship for a few decades. Now I'm back to it. You can probably find some on instagram.
