The authorities took enormous heat for their foolish and hasty decision to cut that deal with Homolka. Long after the deal, a very well-hidden video tape was found that showed just how involved she was in those sordid crimes. I don't think the tapes have ever been seen outside the courtroom, but apparently they leave no room for doubt or sympathy for Homolka.
