It's not demonization of the Palestinians but it is demonization of Hamas and the allied fanatics who have kept this conflict going for as long as I've been alive. The Islamists have always denied the right of Israel to exist, since before independence. They themselves say that the only solution they will accept is the end of Israel. They have literally laughed at the idea of a two state solution all my life. So what else are the Jews to do other than fight them? If Israel quits before Hamas is extirpated, they will only have to fight them again. These are Hamas' words---they swear daily that they will repeat the horrors of October for as many times as it takes.
