In addition to the energy cost of producing nitrogen, which seems like it could be a problem, anhydrous ammonia is an extremely dangerous chemical--more corrosive than liquid drano and it produces corrosive vapor as well. The idea of millions of untrained people routinely pumping it into mobile vehicles is a bit scary to me. Just a splash can mean plastic surgery!
