I don't believe it. The numbers don't make sense. Say a typical person is sexually of age at 15 or 16 and marries between 26 and 30. That's implies that most people have 10 or 15 years of single life during their most hormonally driven years. Plus some number of single years following divorce, death of a spouse, etc. Subtract one point something partners who were spouses, and a typical person would have between three and four sex partners over 10 to 20 single, sexually mature years. Maybe among the Amish, but that doesn't describe anyone I know personally. That would mean the typical time between new sex partners would be three to five years for single people. Tell that to Tinder!
